You can finally send GIFs on WhatsApp for iOS

This is good news for Whatsapp users that from now you can do more fun with Whatsapp. The users who love to send and receive messages with GIF effects, they must be happy with this new feature of Whatsapp. This chat app gifts a new way of entertainment to its 1 billion users (Approx. number). 10th November 2016, Whatsapp has announced their support for GIF animation.

Currently, iPhone users are getting this facility and the company  also said that Android users would be entertained very soon with GIF support. Therefore, from now your conversion from iPhone will be more vivacious with animations. You need to update your Whatsapp to 2.16.15 to avail this new feature.

How does it work?

As I have already told that now, only iOS users will avail this support. They can send and receive limitless GIFs animation. Users can send the GIFs, which are already saved on their device. Even they can search GIFs in the chat application and create or personalize their looping pictures. This new feature has come with GIF Editor.

Therefore, you can add annotations, captions, stickers, drawing and scribbles your GIF messages.

How to get GIFs

It is not a very troubleshooting work to find a GIFs. Though Whatsapp does not have its own GIF gallery, so you need to download any third party apps like Tenor, Giphy to get a broad range of animation. Hit the “+” button and select the picture or video library.

After that hit the GIF button which you will find the left side of the screen. You will get a list. Choose your favorite image from the top trending field or you can look for other GIFs.

Whatsapp allows you to turn your videos into GIFs, but you make sure that the length of the video will be 6 second long. This new update also gives the facility for trimming your video if it is too long. Shoot a video hit GIF and send it to the recipient.

You use GIFs while you are doing group chat. iPhone users also get the facility to send a 3D image as GIF. You cannot delete a GIF once it has been shared, so before sending it to let you allow seeing the preview. You can see the preview inside the chat box before sending the GIFs.

This GIF support is a change of instant messing mode, which is a plan of Facebook-owned Company Whatsapp. It emerges that a new video calling feature called “status” is in the pipeline. This element is similar to a feature of Snapchat.

The testers of this Facebook-owned app are testing this feature now, and it will be released soon. However, the beta version of this Video calling feature is obtainable for the iOS and Android users. However, the clients of jailbroken iPhone device or rooted Android device can use this beta version.
