STUDENTS TO LOBBY FOR 'POWER SHIFT 2009'

POMONA--A group of Stockton students will make the trek to Washington, D.C. this weekend for "Power Shift 2009."
Nearly 40 students will join the 10,000 from around the country for the Youth Climate Conference that sees student lobby for climate issues like carbon emissions reductions, green jobs and the transition toward green energy, "An amazing experience kids from all over the country, come together with the same point of view. Better our environment a much more sustainable living environment and it's just cool to see everyone in the same mindset," said membership coordinator, Nick Bradford.
The importance of environmental safety is nothing new at Stockton, they were chosen as a top five environmentally friendly school in the nation.
