NORTH WILDWOOD--Three people, including a former Miss North Wildwood, were arrested in connection with producing and using counterfeit money.

Officials say former Miss North Wildwood, Ashley Fuhrmeister, 21, and her mother, Kelly Nowacky, 44, used counterfeit $50 bills in a Wawa in North Wildwood last month.

Nowacky and Fuhrmeister are charged with possession of forgery devices, forgery and conspiracy. John Laughlin of Belleplain was also arrested, he is charged with forgery and conspiracy.
