LINWOOD - With kids back to school and sometimes unsupervised, internet security advocates say "now" is a good time for parents to discuss online dangers with kids.
According to experts, "tweens," that's children eight to 12 years–old, are accessing social networking sites more than ever.
One recommendation is to create a "white list" of online friends, those are the only people kids can socialize with.
AOL consumer advisor Regina Lewis says, "That's like putting a bouncer at the front of your computer, because instead of playing defense and trying to block out the bad guys, if someone is not on that list... they literally won't be able to contact them."
