ATLANTIC CITY -- On the heels of tonight's "anti–violence" rally in Atlantic City, police are continuing their investigation of a deadly shooting that happened in broad daylight.

Just before two o'clock this afternoon police responded to a parking lot adjacent to the intersection of Sheridan and Beach Avenues, where they found a male slumped over the wheel of a black Nissan Altima.

29 year–old Booker Purnell of Atlantic City suffered four gunshot wounds, one to the head and three to the chest.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
