ATLANTIC CITY--As most families are just getting ready to put the turkey in the oven, many residents of Atlantic City have already enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast.
Thanks to the efforts of the Salvation Army, the Tropicana Casino, and Formica Bros., nearly 1,000 people from Atlantic City, enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings Wednesday night.
The dinner was free and a way to give back to the community and help those who may be going through some tough times.
"There's a lot of people that are hurting as a result of the recession and so forth. And as many other casinos, we're just doing out share to try and help the community and help the population of the city," says Mark Giannantonio, President and C.O.O. of the Tropicana Casino.
The feast was held at the Salvation Army. The Tropicana donated 50 turkeys that were cooked by Formica Bros.
