BRIDGETON--A Bridgeton man who fatally shot his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend and her sister has been sentenced to consecutive life terms.

27-year-old James Royal received his sentence Friday, after a jury found him guilty of the double murders last month.

Royal killed Felicia Flores and her 18-year-old sister, Natasha Ferrer, at their Bridgeton home in January 2003.

He shot himself in the chest after shooting the sisters, but survived.
