MAYS LANDING--Residents looking to vote by mail have missed the deadline, but it's not too late to cast your vote.
Officials at the Atlantic County Clerk's Office are reminding voters the deadline for absentee ballot applications closed this Monday afternoon, however mail-in ballots can still be delivered by hand to your county's board of election until 8p.m. Tuesday.
The Atlantic County Clerk's office also says voter fraud has been minimal, compared to last year.
“Those rejects this year were very normal kind of things. Some they arrived too late, some of the signatures didn't match, some were ordinary things. No reasons to expect voter fraud,” says John Piatt of the Atlantic County Clerk’s Office.
They say the clean voting is a result of publicity from last year's voter fraud and the Whelan bill that regulates the number of messenger ballots one can submit.
