ATLANTIC CITY--Some area students will soon be reaping the rewards of a new project in Atlantic City.
After a busy morning, students here at the New York Avenue School were taking pride in two new gardens built as part of the school's garden curriculum to meet state standards in academic subjects.
There are also plans to build an adjacent reading garden, “To make it a pleasurable place for children to come out and do reading and do all types of other activities outside of the classroom setting,” said Principal James Knox.
The project was made possible through a partnership with Stockton College.
