Bullying and Domestic Violence Conference held in Wildwood

Posted: Updated:
WILDWOOD - The Cape May County Prosecutor's Office and the County Working Group on Bullying and Domestic Violence joined forces to help make schools and communities safer.

Monday was the annual Bullying and Domestic Violence Conference, held at the Wildwood Convention Center.

Teachers, law enforcement, and other groups were on hand to discuss topics ranging from domestic violence to sexting.

Prosecutor Taylor says the hope is that events like this will help break the cycle of violence.

"people often ask me what does bullying have to do with crime, well it's a proven fact that those who are identified as bullies, and they are mostly boys, 40% of them go on to commit crimes by age 24," Robert Taylor, Cape May County Prosecutor.
This is the tenth year for the event.
