GALLOWAY TWP. -
Customers and people just passing by were able to enjoy some lemonade to support "Alex’s Lemonade Stand" at the Hair Culture Salon in Galloway Township Saturday.
Sunshine brought a lot of contributions to support the national campaign. The salon's goal was to raise one thousand dollars and they say they were able to surpass that number.
Event organizers were happy they could contribute to the fight against childhood cancer and say every dollar helps.
"Its nice to raise money for children's cancer because its really disheartening for children's families who actually have to go through dealing with something like that," said Hair Culture Salon staff member and event organizer Diana.
Alex's Lemonade Stand is in its 10th year.
The salon also raised money for the cause by raffling off products and selling different lemon flavored treats.
