HAMILTON TWP. -
Police in Hamilton Twp. responded to a subject firing an imitation firearm at a school bus late Tuesday afternoon.
It happened in the Mizpah section of the township, when a Sheppard Bus Company school bus was traveling in the area of Melvin Newton Blvd and Annapolis Ave.
The school bus was occupied with numerous children when police say a 13-year-old male jumped out from behind a tree, firing the bus with projectiles from the imitation firearm. No students were injured.
A 13-year-old male, of Mizpah, is being charged with possession of an imitation firearm for an unlawful purpose, and 4th degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
He was released to a family member pending Juvenile Court.
