ATLANTIC CITY -
In Atlantic City, family and friends came out to celebrate a life and to spread awareness.
Many came out for the 2014 New Jersey AIDS Walk on Sunday to celebrate Jeffrey Kurz who lost his life from Lymphoma and complications from the AIDS virus.
The walk is an effort to spread hope and compassion and assist in creating awareness.
The walk brought several communities together for one cause. Members from the Atlantic City Police Department also joined as the team "Blue 4 Red", which is currently the number five ranked team for raising money.
All the money raised will go to directly to local organizations in New Jersey.
