Authorities say three people were arrested after a woman listed as a missing person in Massachusetts escaped the hotel room she was allegedly being held in.
Police say the 20 year-old victim told them she had been taken against her will from New York to Galloway Township, and was able to flee the room she was being held in at America's Best Inn and Suites on Monday. Three people at the motel were then arrested and charged.
Police say one of the suspects, 27 year-old Alex Jean of New York, was taken to the hospital for medical treatment after his arrest. While there, Jean allegedly attempted to escape police custody by climbing into the ceiling tiles of the hospital bathroom. Police say Jean was taken into custody, again, after falling through the tiles in the hospital waiting room.
Jean was further charged with Escape and Resisting Arrest, and is lodged in the Atlantic County Jail Facility in lieu of $35,000.00 bail.
