Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and something high-tech too!!! The Wildwood Convention Center hosted their 6th annual Spring Bridal Fair & Fashion Show on Sunday.
"Everything from the smallest wedding to the largest wedding you can find the types of vendors you want to work with as this show," explained event coordinator Vicki Clark, President of Cape May County Chambers of Commerce.
"It makes it so much easier for a bride–to–be, because everything is in one and its fun," said one bride to be Jennifer Dietz.
Weddings are one of the most traditional things, but a lot of tech savvy couples are finding new ways to make their big days special.
"You do see iPads now at weddings, which make the whole guest list situation a lot easier for brides to manage,” said Jay Garrison, Video Producer for Alliance Video Productions.
According to Shore Weddings Magazine Editor Anne Coskey, "in previous years a lot of people were doing wedding websites, but now there are really cool apps for your phone, which are more accessible for your guest the weekend of your wedding."
You’ve all heard of a wedding registry, but what about a honeymoon registry? From wedding planning apps to wedding snaps that allow your guest to upload and share their event photos, there's even an app that allows your friends and family to gift you different elements of your honeymoon. "We have a make your own candles bar at the wedding, so instead of the candy bar, we have the candle bar," said Winifred Otto, Executive Consultant for Pink Zebra.
"We've noticed that South Jersey is becoming a popular wedding destination and beach weddings are growing," explains John Siciliano, Executive Director/CFO of Wildwood Tourism Authority & Convention Center.
“Couples are doing cake pops or cupcakes trays to cut cost," said Coskey.
For those planning to wed in 2014, Pantone announced the color of the year is radiant orchid.
