On Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1:57 PM, North Wildwood Police Officer Justin Melo observed a vehicle with New Jersey registration traveling south on the 2500 block of New Jersey Avenue without a front license plate. Officer Melo conducted a traffic stop of this vehicle on the 100 block of West Juniper Avenue in Wildwood. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Raymond Segarra, was in possession of marijuana and multiple amounts of pills.
Raymond Segarra (30), residing in Wildwood, NJ was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II narcotic, possession with intent to distribute a Schedule III narcotic, three (3) counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances within 1,000 feet of school property, possession of a Schedule II narcotic, possession of a Schedule III narcotic and possession of marijuana under 50 grams. Segarra was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center a warrant set by the Hon. Vincent Morrsion in the amount of $20,000/full cash bail.
