Happy Sunday South Jersey!
It has been one of the most beautiful days we have seen in quite some time. Temperatures have been seasonable and mild the past few days, but the difference today has been the appearance of the sun. High pressure will build in towards our south and push offshore tomorrow. As the clouds continue to break into tomorrow, we will lose the insulation and tonight will not be as mild as previous nights. Winds will also begin to pick up as we go towards sunset. For overnight lows you can expect temperatures to dip down into the upper 20s. Monday will stay mostly clear and mild. Daytime highs will be in the mid 50's on the mainland and the shore with light southerly winds around 5 miles per hour. A cold front will move into the area on Tuesday bringing mostly cloudy skies overnight Monday and Tuesday as well. There is a chance that this will be our next rain maker; however the system seems to bring only mostly cloudy skies with periods of drizzle and light rain.
Between Monday and Wednesday we don't have the chance to fully clear out all thecloud coverr before another cold front pushes through on Wednesday. Temperatures do stay relatively mild for the week. For the fans of cold air, we will see more of that by the end of the week and continue on a downward spiral throughout the day on Sunday.
Until next time,
Meteorologist Sydney Daniel
