While many are planning to celebrate the new year with a toast of champagne, Ocean City's big new year's event is a toast to families.
Preparations for Ocean City's 25th Annual First Night celebrations are already underway as the town plans to kick off 2014 with 14 family friendly events all throughout the shore town.
A $15 button gets you into all of the live events.
"We want children and families and friends to see live entertainment and that's a little different than what is in our lives right now - it's computer, it's internet, it's TV. This is live so we think this is very unique," said Michele Gillian, Director of First Night.
New this year, an ice skating rink will be set up on the grounds of the high school.
Activities begin in the late afternoon and last until midnight which will be celebrated with fireworks at midnight.
