ATLANTIC COUNTY -
A local group of teens are trying to keep their peers safe this new years.
Atlantic Prevention Resources" and teen members of Atlantic County Stand Up and Rebel held a "Sticker Shock" project Friday at several Atlantic County liquor stores.
At Joe Canal's Discount Liquor in Egg Harbor Township the teens and young adults put stickers on multi-packs of alcohol saying "keep it legal" and warning consumers that it is illegal to buy alcohol for anyone under the age of 21.
They hope that by doing this Friday, they will be preventing a future tragedy.
This is very important, especially for us, because we see a lot of fatalities within our peers. And we just want to prevent this the best way we can.
The organizations have had similar Sticker Shock events for the Super Bowl, and Memorial and Labor Day weekends.
