Though Christmas Eve is Santa's busiest day of the year, there was time to spare for a visit to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
The hospital has made Santa's visit a merry ritual over the past few years.
Earlier this morning, members of the AtlantiCare administration and staff dressed up as elves, and accompanied Santa as he delivered some holiday cheer.
The team distributed toys and cookies to patients of the hospital.
"I don't even have to tell you - they're happy," Santa tells NBC40. "You can see the look on their faces...I don't know, its worth a million smiles."
His stops included adult and pediatric patients as well as their family members. Each year, the staff hopes to add more elves to help out Santa and spread Christmas spirit.
