Atlantic County Board of Elections prepares to formally certify election results
ATLANTIC COUNTY -
More than a month after November's General Election, The Atlantic County Board of Elections is prepared to formally certify the results.
The board plans to officially certify Democrat Vince Mazzeo as the winner of a second district assembly seat Tuesday. This after they finished up recounting ballots in the race Monday. There were 21 additional court validated ballots counted this morning. Out of those 21, nine were for Mazzeo and 12 were for his running mate Nick Russo.
Current Republican Assemblyman John Amodeo asked for the re-count, while his running mate, Chris Brown was the top vote getter in the race.
Evangelist Franklin Graham prayed on a sidewalk outside the Pentagon Thursday after his invitation to a prayer service inside was withdrawn because of comments that insulted people of other religions. More>>
