A 14-year-old Vineland boy died Monday after the car he was a passenger in struck a parked truck, police say.
Police responded to serious the crash near Almond and Mill Roads just before 8 p.m. Monday. Police say a 2004 Chevy Malibu was traveling east on Almond Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a 1986 GMC Truck that was parked off the roadway.
The 14-year-old boy sustained serious injuries and was transported to Inspira Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, age 17 of Vineland, along with three additional passengers were transported to Inspira for non-life threatening injuries.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the matter is still under investigation.
