As service men and women return from war they can often struggle to find a job and settle back into society.
At Atlantic Cape Community College today, the school honored older veterans as well as student soldiers who have returned from overseas and are working towards a higher education.
Veterans we spoke with say they're eager to turn the page and embark on the next chapter of their life.
"The country called me to do a job and I did it," says Cyrus Manahan. He is a graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School and served two tours in Afghanistan before coming home and enrolling at ACCC. Now I'm just trying to integrate myself back into society to make myself a worthy member of society. We're going through a tough time economically and politically so I'm trying to be part of the solution."
