An Atlantic City police officer is coming under fire for the second time in a month - that's according to court documents.
Officer Sterling Wheaten is accused of assaulting and falsely arresting a Bayonne woman in July of 2012 at the "Dusk" nightclub at Caesars. The lawsuit also alleges that Wheaten took the woman's phone and passed it off to another person who either hid or destroyed it. The attorney handling the case says she expects to file more suits against the city in the weeks to come. Wheaten came under fire back in September, when a video was released that allegedly showed him assaulting a suspect.
