Governor Chris Christie not only won re-election in a landslide Tuesday night, he also says that he won a battle in Atlantic City.
Christie celebrated his win with a visit to a school in Union City Wednesday. The Governor, who beat his challenger, Democratic State Senator Barbara Buono by 22 percentage points last night, also was celebrating Don Guardian's win in Atlantic City.
Governor Chris Christie stated, "I'm grateful that Lorenzo Langford is gone and that should be no shock for anybody. We have not had a good relationship over the course of the last four years. I think he's been a negative force for Atlantic city, I think he was a negative force for evacuation for hurricane sandy. And so the fact that the people of Atlantic city have agreed with me that they need a new mayor is a good thing for the city of Atlantic city."
Christie went on to say that he has never met Guardian but he looks forward to working with him. Christie also told reporters that he plans on finishing the job he started, including in the areas of taxes and education reform.
