On October 22, 2013 at approximately 11:13PM, police responded to 1117 McKinnley Avenue, for a report of an attempted Armed Home Invasion Robbery. Police spoke with the resident of the house, who stated that he was at home with a friend when he heard a knock at the door. He stated that he came to the front door and slightly opened the door when three males attempted to force their way into the home. The resident stated that one of the males appeared to be armed with a black colored pistol, which was aimed at him. He stated that he struggled with the males at the door, while his friend contacted the police. The resident was able to force the door closed before any of the assailants could enter. The males then ran south on McKinnley Avenue, from the incident location. No accused description was available at the time of the report. No one at the residence was harmed. The resident of the home did complain of Chest Pains, but refused to be transported to the medical facility for evaluation.
