Atlantic County has been awarded nearly $200,000 in funds to aid the county's emergency food and shelter programs.
The money comes from the Department of Homeland Security along with FEMA. A local board will distribute the $193,956 among local agencies that provide food, shelter and emergency relief. The funds must be used to supplement or expand existing food and shelter programs in the county.
