Wednesday New Jersey residents head to the polls to place their votes for who they want to represent the state in the United States Senate. Democrat and Mayor of Newark, Cory Booker faces off against Republican and former Mayor of Bogota, Steve Lonegan. A recent poll by the Stockton Polling Institute has Booker leading Lonegan by 11 to 12 percentage points. The winner of Wednesday's Special election will take the Senate seat left vacant by the death of Democrat Frank Lautenberg in June.
Evangelist Franklin Graham prayed on a sidewalk outside the Pentagon Thursday after his invitation to a prayer service inside was withdrawn because of comments that insulted people of other religions. More>>
