College students, and faculty, along with residents in the surrounding area, came together to build a better relationship Monday.
Stockton College's Neighborhood Watch Group held it's seasonal barbeque on campus Monday afternoon.
The student-run group works with faculty and staff, as well as the Stockton Police Department and community members to promote safety for everyone on and near the campus.
"Let's face it, even though this is a collage, and it's one of the safest colleges in the country, it's an open campus, and you have people from all different walks of life here and that visit here, so it's important to be aware of your surroundings," said K9 Sgt. Tracy Stuart.
Mondays's barbeque is one of two the group holds each year on Stockton's campus.
