A 61-year-old woman was medevaced by the Coast Guard after she was injured when her boat ran aground off the coast of Wildwood.
The Coast Guard says that a crew from the USCG Station in Cape May responded and transferred the woman to EMS personnel at Schooner Island Marina in Wildwood. The woman suffered injuries to her collar bone and back.
The woman's boat was re-floated by TowBoat US and was able to get underway under its own power.
The Coast Guard reminds boaters to wear life jackets, equip their boats with VHF radios, and file a float plan.
