HAMILTON TWP. -
The Children's Museum of South New Jersey is back! "We are so happy," says Christine Gloth. Stay at home mom Christine Gloth of Egg Harbor Township, is elated that she once again has a place nearby to take her two sons."We are so excited, he was like counting days on the calendar, how many sleeps until it opens mom. I love the museum," says Gloth speaking about her son.
Saturday, the Children's Museum of South Jersey, officially opened its doors and is back in business at the Hamilton Mall. "It's been an amazing journey, we presented it as an idea in August, and we thought it would take a couple of months for approval, but it happened in a couple of weeks," explains museum President Matt Gilliano.
This temporary location will house the Children's Museum for the rest of the year. With museum officials hoping to move across the street into a 9,000 square foot facility in 2014.
"It's a stepping stone for the bigger location," explains Gilliano.
A work in progress that museum officials say will be worth the wait.
"What I like about it most is that your standing behind the counter and then you hear the kids go "ooo–yea" they have this, or mommy and daddy look at this. Its just that excitement and enthusiasm," says Gilliano. The same enthusiasm Christine Gloth had while playing with her son Brian.
"There's so much to do, there's so many little exhibits and different things to get into. There's never enough time when we come here," explains Gloth. "It's a great way to spend our days and spend our time. we love it here and its nice to get out of the house," she continues.
