Mayor Lorenzo Langford is taking some heat Wednesday night, following allegations by a former prosecutor, and from his political opponents.
Mayor Langford issued a statement Wednesday, responding to allegations by former prosecutor Ted Housel that he was involved in, or knew of criminal activity within the city. Langford called the comments "highly inappropriate and reckless" and denied any involvement.
Additionally, Atlantic City Republicans will be filing a complaint with the State Election Law Enforcement Commission Thursday, after they claim Mayor Langford failed to file his most recent campaign finance reports.
Our requests for further comment from the Mayor on both issues were not returned.
