On October 2, 2013 in the early morning hours a search warrant was executed by Brigantine Detectives along with members of the Atlantic County SWAT team and Atlantic City Detectives. The search was conducted at a residence on Manitoba Avenue in connection with the recent burglaries in Brigantine and Atlantic City. The burglaries in Brigantine took place in the area of Manitoba Avenue and Ocean Drive. Subsequent to the investigation, a 17 year old male was arrested and charged with burglary, possession of burglar tools, and possession of marijuana. His name cannot be released due to his age. Anyone with additional information about suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact the Brigantine Police Department Detective Bureau.
The Brigantine Police Department would like to remind residents that if they see suspicious activity to report it to the police. Many narcotics investigations are successfully completed because of information supplied by concerned citizens. Anyone who is able to provide information about the distribution of controlled dangerous substances is asked to contact the Brigantine Police Department Detective Bureau.
