Atlantic City police make stabbing arrest

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -

Police have arrested one after a Friday evening stabbing.

Friday night just after 7 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of N. South Carolina Avenue for a report of a stabbing.

Arriving on scene, police found the victim with a stab wound to his abdomen. He was transported to AtlantiCare City Division to be treated.

Detectives investigating the incident used a surveillance photo from a surveillance system nearby to identify their suspect as Eric Gibson, a.k.a. Latif Abdullah.

The suspect was found a couple hours after the stabbing at the intersection of South Carolina and Adriatic Avenues.

Gibson aka Abdullah is charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession for Unlawful Purposes.
