After years in the making, Ocean City's new welcome center is officially opening its doors Friday.
The Roy Gillian Welcome Center is holding a grand opening celebration Friday morning. The center is located on the Route 52 Causeway and was built as part of the 396 million dollar bridge rebuilding modeled as a replica of the early 20th century ocean city yacht club that was demolished in 1944, the welcome center is open every day until six. The property also allows access to the pedestrian walkway and one of four fishing piers along the bridge, and includes restrooms and scenic wrap–around decks.
