Police had their hands full Wednesday night, after investigating two shots fired calls and surrounding a house for more than an hour.
It started around 6 p.m. when police responded to a shots fired call on Ashland Avenue. A short time later, police responded to another call for shots fired in the area of Ryon and Clematis avenues, less than a mile from the first scene.
Police say no one was hit but there were reports of property damage in the area. Multiple agencies were called in to help investigate.
Later in the evening, Pleasantville Police, along with other local departments, surrounded a home on the 1400 block Broad Street. Officers were heavily armed at times and at least two men were seen being placed in cop cars after about an hour of the house being surrounded.
Police have not said if this was related to the earlier shootings. Both incidents are still being investigated.
