Richard Stockton College's new United Science Center about to be unveiled

Posted: Updated:
GALLOWAY TWP. - Officials with the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey are just a day away from publicly unveiling the school's new United Sciences Center, but NBC 40 was given a sneak peak at the $34.1 million facility on Tuesday...

The 66,000 square foot building is a key piece to the expansion of the schools's natural sciences and math programs.

The facility provides students with new state-of-the-art laboratory space, lecture and classroom space, computer labs and conference rooms.

Officials say the building is just the next piece in a plan that they hope will take the college well into the future.

"When you put up a building like this, you're looking for a 30 to 40, maybe 50 year building. That's what you're hoping to get back in terms of your investment," said Dr. Dennis Weiss, Dean of the School of N.A.M.S.

The school will publicly introduce the new building with a ribbon cutting Wednesday morning.
