Happy Sunday to you South Jersey!
Temperatures have been on the rise throughout the weekend. As of 4 PM on Sunday we are sitting at 82 degrees at the Atlantic City International Airport. Clouds have been building in through the afternoon. Also, winds have been picking up throughout the day. Currently they are coming in from the north at 12 miles per hour. Tonight, temperatures will dip back down to the 50s as a cold front completes its crossing through the Delmarva region. This cold front will lower temperatures for tomorrow's day time high. Mid 70s are expected to be the norm for the mainland tomorrow. The shore can expect low 70s with winds that will be continually dying down tonight and into tomorrow.
High pressure is going to attempt to build back in by Monday afternoon. The temperature roller coaster will continue as we warm up little by little into Thursday. Another cold front is expected to arrive around Wednesday night into Thursday. This front is likely to bring our next steady rainfall through the area by mid week. Temperatures will once again be on the downfall into Friday when a true autumn like high pressure system builds in for the weekend.
Until next time,
Meteorologist Sydney Daniel
