Atlantic City man arrested in connection with weekend stabbing

ATLANTIC CITY -

Police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing that left another man in critical condition.

Donnell Parker, 46, of Atlantic City, was named as a suspect after a stabbing on Pacific Avenue Saturday evening. According to Police, Parker and the victim, Joseph Laverde, had gotten into an argument earlier Saturday before the stabbing. Laverde was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery. He remains in critical condition.

Wanted flyers for Parker were posted, and just before mid night Thursday, a K9 officer found and arrested Parker in the area of Brighton and Pacific Avenues.  He has been charged with terroristic threats, and is being held on $30,000 bail.
