A Pleasantville woman is in custody after police say she, along with two others, hit a car with a baseball bat in Atlantic City Tuesday night.
According to Atlantic City Police, Officer Justin Draper heard what sounded like gunfire around 11:30 p.m. near Hobart and Hummock Avenues.
Further investigation revealed that it was a woman who was damaging the victims’ vehicle with a baseball bat.
The female victim told police that she was at a local convenience store on North Indiana Avenue when she received a text massage telling her to come home. She then walked to her home on the 500 block of North Ohio Avenue when she says she saw a group of three women in front of her house with baseball bats damaging her car.
The victim was able to get into her car and flee the area. Police say the victim lost control of her car as she was fleeing the scene and crashed into a house on the 1800 block of Hummock Ave.
One of the suspects, Jasmine Dennison-Brown, age 24 of First Street in Pleasantville, was arrested at the scene was charged with Burglary, Criminal Mischief, and Unlawful Possession of Weapon.
She was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $50,000 bail.
