Happy Tuesday to you South Jersey!
High pressure is back to bring summer along with it. The cloud cover was much heavier than anticipated yesterday so we didn't exactly feel temperatures in the 80s for yet another day. With an abundant amount of sunshine, today will be different. Highs are expected to jump into the mid 80's on the mainland and hit the 80 degree mark at the beaches today. A light west wind is also expected. The high pressure just off the coast will stay in our vicinity through Wednesday and much of the same conditions will follow. Wednesday there should be more humidity and the real summer muggies will return for one more kick.
As we move forward to Thursday, a cold front will enter the region from the west bringing with it showers and thunderstorms. The timing of the front should bring rain early evening and into the night. Once that cold front moves eastward more comfortable conditions will follow. Temperatures are expected to remain in the 80's for the end of the work week and dew point temperatures are expected to drop.
Hope everyone enjoys their Tuesday!
Until next time,
Meteorologist Sydney Daniel
