On Sunday, The Lower Township Police Department arrested Michael Loper, 27, of the Townbank Section of Lower Township for Burglary.
Police say the victim reported that his residence was broken into during the evening of August 17. He told police that four shotguns including ammo, lap top computer and other items were taken from his home.
Patrolmen James McNulty along with Detective First Class Marlin Hedum and Detective Michael Perry investigated the burglary, which led to the arrest of Loper, and the recovery of the stolen weapons and other items.
Loper was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Additional charges are pending. He is currently lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Facility on $35,000 bail.
