On Sunday, August 18, 2013, at approximately 5:24 am, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to the Country Farms Store on Tilton Road, in the Farmington section of the township, in reference to a robbery. Officer Jeff Lancaster responded and made contact with the victim/employee, Kosar Ali, who stated the suspect entered the store, approached the counter, brandished a handgun and demanded the money in the register. An undetermined amount of cash was turned over by the clerk and the suspect then fled the area on foot. The victim/employee was not injured in this incident.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10” to 6’ in height, with a heavy build and a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a turquoise hooded sweat shirt, black shorts, white socks and black sneakers. A perimeter was set up and a K-9 track was conducted but was unsuccessful.
The robbery is being investigated by Detective Reynold Theriault of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau.
