Tribute concert in Margate benefits the South Jersey Field of Dreams
Lite rock 96.9brought the music to Margate Saturday night as the performing arts center playedhost to the vocal group, "Lights Out" featuring the sounds of The JerseyBoys, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
All proceeds fromthe tribute benefit the South Jersey Field of Dreams, a baseball league andfield in Absecon for children with physical and cognitive disabilities.
Specifically, thefunds raised will help offset the costs of a new playground for developmentallyand physically disabled children.
"This is oneof our major fundraisers, this is the first time we ventured into the concertworld to try and raise funds, and we got a great response from the community,"says John Glassey from South Jersey Field of Dreams.
Theplayground is going to be built on September 28th.
