Happy Saturday to you South Jersey,
Many of you I am sure thrilled that the clouds have held off and have given way to another "suntastic" day... until now. High pressure that has controlled our weather for the past several days is now moving further northeast. This will give us a big change in the days to follow. A low pressure system that continues to develop off the Carolina coast will track northward into the night. The system as a whole will remain to our south but we will have those clouds continue to increase the rest of the day and into the night. Light showers tonight will most likely scrape the Cape tonight and continue to move northward as we go into the day on Sunday. With the increase in cloudiness, lows will be a bit warmer tonight. We should see lower 60's for much of South Jersey tonight.
The majority of the rain will occur early during the day tomorrow. Temperatures will be capped in the mid 70s due to cloud cover and rain. Most of the showers should be complete by evening and tomorrow night. A slight chance of isolated t-storms is still possible for Monday but pretty unlikely.
Hope you continue to enjoy the last of this comfortable dry weather... change is definite.
Until next time,
Meteorologist Sydney Daniel
