Happy Friday to you South Jersey.
Yesterday the weather was, "calm, cool, and collected" and today we will see much of the same. High pressure just to our east will remain in control of our weather through Saturday before moving offshore. This means for us we will stay dry and comfortable for the day on Friday and for much of the day on Saturday. For Friday, expect light winds, ample sunshine and some high clouds. We have one more cool night in store; however, this should be slightly warmer than the past couple we've seen. Expect temperatures to stay in the low 60s for the overnight hours.Once we get into the day on Saturday we will begin to see more humidity creep in. We will be able to squeeze one more dry day out of the weather pattern, up until we see a slight change...
An area of low pressure developing along the Carolina coast, is expected to move across to the south of the region. As this system moves, moisture will be pushed northward. Showers are expected to creep into our area Saturday night and then into Sunday.High pressure will start to build in from the southwest around midweek and temperatures should start to rise to mid-August averages for us here in South Jersey.
Enjoy the dry, cool, suntastic weather while you can!
Until next time,
Meteorologist Sydney Daniel
