A good Thursday morning to you South Jersey.
The phrase for the day is "calm cool and collected." Calm, as far as winds, and seas go. Cool, as we have cooler air filtering in from the north. Collected, as everything comes together to produce a lovely day. High pressure will continue to slide eastward through today and move completely off shore by the weekend. A wave of low pressure will attempt to clip the Delmarva on Sunday creating a stronger ridge by the middle of next week.
Expect comfortable temperatures and less winds compared to yesterday. Today is the day when we really see the high pressure system cresting over the region. The only clouds you can expect are a few lingering in the afternoon hours. With low dew points temperatures and clear skies temperatures will dip below average tonight. Expect low to mid 50's on the mainland and upper 50's at the shore. Unsettled weather is still slightly uncertain as moisture will move in through the weekend. More details in the coming days. Today is a day to enjoy the weather.
Happy Thursday South Jersey,
Until next time,
Meteorologist Sydney Daniel
