The Atlantic City Bomb Squad was called to the scene to make sure the device is properly handled.Authorities say they want to take extra precautions due to the amount of people in the area this time of year.
As of 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, a sergeant with the Ocean City Police Department says there is no threat to the public, and that police are continuing their investigation into the situation.
