For the 99th time, AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center has presented a life saving device to an organization in the community.
Wednesday afternoon, an Automated External Defibrillator, or AED., was given to the Mid–Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities in Cape May. These AEDs use audible and visual prompts to allow the user to administer emergency care to victims of sudden cardiac arrest.
AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's Heart Heroes volunteer group has been raising funds to help provide these devices to community groups and organizations since 2002.
