Happy Hump Day South Jersey,
As we head into the middle of the week, I am sure you are feeling the warmth.
Another hot one on the way. 93 at the mainland and 87 at the shore. Water temps have cooled off since this weekend and should be sitting in the mid 60's for the day. If you can take a trip to the beach and cool off in the water... I suggest it! Remember to drink plenty of water to keep yourself from becoming dehydrated.
High Pressure is remaining in control up until the end of this week. The appearance of showers is holding off until Thursday. An area of low pressure will move out of the Ohio River Valley and into the Northeast Thursday into Thursday night. Brought with this low pressure system is a cold front. Don't expect temperatures too cool off all that much. There is a great chance that this cold front will stall along the coast into the weekend.
Up until the arrival of the cold front we can be expecting partly sunny skies, hot, seeing temperatures well up into the 90's. Dew point temperatures are projected to stay relatively high in comparison to daytime highs. The day time heating will create instability as we head into the afternoon hours. This will leave us with the daily chance for pop-up thunderstorms daily. Until Thursday temperatures can be expected to sit between 90-94 degrees on the mainland and 82-87 at the shore. The sea breezes will help keep humidity levels slightly lower at the shore, but not by much.
Have a Happy Wednesday South Jersey!
